Here's what we were working with - a flat, empty backyard with no structure, no place to sit, and nothing pulling you outside. Just open grass and a back door that led to basically nothing. A lot of backyards start exactly like this.

What we ended up with is a completely different story. We installed a large paver patio that gives this space a real purpose. There's room to set up outdoor furniture, fire up the grill, and actually spread out. The paver pattern adds texture and character without feeling overdone.

The seating walls on either side of the patio are one of our favorite details on this one. They define the space, give you built-in seating, and tie the whole layout together. The matching paver steps off the back door make the transition from inside to outside feel intentional - not like an afterthought. That kind of cohesion is what separates a good hardscaping job from a great one.

We also came in with fresh landscaping around the perimeter. New shrubs planted in clean mulch beds frame the patio edges and give the space some life. It softens all the hardscape and makes the whole area feel finished. Good landscaping does that - it connects everything.

The before-and-after here really says it all. An unused, featureless backyard turned into a space people will actually want to spend time in. That's the goal on every job like this.
